Itinerary

DAY 1: Xin chao, Vietnam!

You will be picked up at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport and transferred to the hotel check-in by your local guide and driver. Relax after your flight or explore the street vendors to see what Hanoi has to offer.

Dinner on your first day will be special: you will go on a tasty street food tour.
Start with pho cuon in Ngu Xa street. It is the original modern version of pho: flattened uncut pho rolls wrapping tender beef and green herbs. Dip the rolls in the signature homemade sauce to create an unforgettable mix of flavors.

Continue to Hang Ga for the famous Banh cuon, or steamed rice rolls with mushrooms. This dish is served with the must-have Vietnamese “Nuoc Mam” (Fish Sauce)

After your hearty meal, you will stop by Ta Hien to experience the endless nightlife of Hanoi. Freshen yourself up with a cold beer, accompanied by the local seafood.

DAY 2: Discover the Essence of Hanoi

On this day, your local guide will take you for an orientation walk around the peaceful West Lake. You will stop by Tran Quoc Pagoda, the temple built by Emperor Ly Nam De in the 6th century.

At the Temple of Literature, get ready to be amazed by the historical stories of Vietnam’s first university dated back in 1070. You will have a lunch break after this stop.

The excursion will then take you to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the final resting place of Uncle Ho who was the great leader that brought independence to the country. Relax in the calming atmosphere as you stroll the legendary Hoan Kiem Lake.

Stop at the Northern part of the lake and step into Ngoc Son Temple to explore the enchanting 19th-century architecture. In the evening, you will participate in the exciting Vietnamese cyclo ride to mingle with locals at the charming streets of Hanoi Old Quarter.

Enjoy dinner at a renowned restaurant bbefore leaving for Hanoi Railway Station. You will board an overnight train to Lao Cai.

DAY 3: Hike through the Villages Hidden in the Clouds

From Lao Cai, you will travel to Sapa in a comfortable air-conditioned car. Arrive at the hotel and settle the luggage in your room.

Get energized with the local breakfast before hiking to Lao Chai village. The mountainous life in the early morning combined with the drifting clouds create a photogenic scene that you should never miss. Lao Chai welcomes you with its peaceful forest, pristine streams and hospitable natives.

Savor the cozy homemade lunch with your host and continue hiking along the mountain path to Ta Van, the village hidden in the fog where there are vast lush rice paddies. The Stone Church located in the heart of Sapa is your relaxing rest stop before returning to the hotel.

The chilling night of Sapa is ideal for a sizzling BBQ dinner with the fresh local ingredients.

DAY 4: The Marvelous Legendary Fansipan

Today, you will travel to the marvelous Fansipan. First, you will be transferred to the hotel by car and stop for breakfast. Then, the car will escort you to Muong Hoa Train Station in time for your train to the Fansipan Cable Station.

The cable includes a round trip to give you the fantastic view of the mountains basking in the bright sun, with misty clouds adding charms to the scenery. Covering the mountain surface is the eye-catching lush green forest, dotted with the colorful village houses.

When your trip is finished, you will return to the hotel for lunch. Relax after your day trip and board the express limousine car to Hanoi.

DAY 5: Embark the Exclusive Halong Bay Cruise

In the next morning, you will travel to Halong Bay and embark your traditional junk. Dine with the seafood lunch on board while you cruise the emerald water.

If you’re looking for an adventure time, step on the boat and go kayaking around thousands of limestone karsts and islands, with the violet sunset sky in the background. If you’d prefer sightseeing, the sundeck is ideal for taking memorable photos.

Before dinner time, you will have the chance to participate in the cooking course to make Vietnamese nem, or fresh spring roll. At night, if the weather is clear, challenge yourself to the cuttlefish fishing on deck.

DAY 6: Unveil the Beauty of Halong Bay – Overnight Train to Dong Hoi

You can get up before sunrise and join a Tai Chi course to get a refresh with the morning breeze. Settle down with your hearty breakfast on the deck and watch as the early sun rises through the foggy screen.

To discover the hidden treasures of Halong Bay, you can go trekking in the Surprise Cave there are timeless stalactites or hike to the observation deck on Ti Top Island to see Halong Bay through an exclusive panorama view.

After checking out of your cruise, you will be escorted to the train station and board an overnight train to Dong Hoi.

DAY 7: Exploring the Majestic Dark Cave

Arrive in Dong Hoi in the next morning and travel to your hotel in Phong Nha for breakfast. Gear up for your cave trekking time and leave for the Dark Cave.
The Dark Cave proudly lives up to its name: the hollow cave runs deep with the high ceiling decorated with ancient stalactites.

Seize your rare opportunities to explore every corner of this cave. Relive your sore muscles by soaking in the rejuvenating mud bath, or dive in the crystal clear lake inside the cave. Let your mind be free and go ziplining or go kayaking to mingle with the incredible nature.

You will have a homemade picnic lunch in the middle of the breathtaking surroundings. After that, step on the boat and discover the karsts illuminated by the dazzling lights.
Travel back to Phong Nha by car for dinner. Spend the night at your hotel.

DAY 8: The Serene Morning Hike to Ban Doong Village and Camp under the Stars inside Hang En

Leaving the Dark Cave, your next destination is Ban Doong Village. You will travel back to the National Park and hike to the village. Don’t miss out the serene nature with the warm sun slowly waking up the wildlife.

Ban Doong Village offers you linens and other local crafted goods that are perfect as gifts. Enjoy your picnic lunch in a peaceful atmosphere.

The cave trekking continues to Hang En. This third largest cave in the world will send you back in time with its untamed ecosystem: the breathtakingly beautiful jungle and the mystical butterflies. Trek through the ancient walls to reach the emerald beach tempting for you to dive in.

Sink your toes in the cooling sand and camp inside this mesmerizing attraction. You will have the chance to sleep under the starry sky.

DAY 9: Return to Phong Nha

Fill your lungs with the fresh morning air and enjoy your breakfast. You can spend the whole morning taking photos of the marvelous nature or participate in exploring the cave.

After lunch, wrap up your campsite and go trekking to the exit. The private car will transfer you to your hotel.

DAY 10: Overnight Train to Hanoi

Today, you will return to Hanoi. First, you will need to go to Dong Hoi. Then you will board an overnight train to the capital city. The train ride gives you the benefits of loosening up your muscles after all the hiking and cave trekking.

DAY 11: Farewell, Vietnam!

Hanoi welcomes you back with a steamy bowl of pho. Spend your time for any last-minute shopping, or just relish a cup of Vietnamese coffee, before you leave for the airport.
