Itinerary

DAY 01: Xin chao, Vietnam

Arrive at Noi Bai Airport and be transferred to your hotel for check-in at 14:00. Relax after your flight, or explore street vendors that display eye-catching artisan. Get ready to savor Hanoi traditional dishes at your cozy, welcoming dinner.

For a high-quality family night, grab your tickets for one of the two incredible cultural shows: The Quintessence of Tonkin which is staged on the magnificent lake in Da Phuc Village, or My Village in Hanoi Opera House. By integrating technology and traditional arts, these phenomenal live performances portrait the nostalgic life in ancient villages.

DAY 02: An Excursion in Hanoi, the Heart of Traditional Heritage

Start your day with a steamy bowl of pho. The itinerary will take you to the Temple of Literature. Learn about Confucius, scholars, historical literature and poetry together with your kids. Continue your excursion to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the resting place of the great leader who brought independence to Vietnam. You will have a lunch break after this stop.

In the evening, you will visit the Ethnology Museum. The museum is home to over 15.000 artifacts, including timeless antiques and audiotapes. This offers your kids a great opportunity to absorb knowledge about 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam.
Breathe in the calming atmosphere as you take a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake before reaching Ngoc Son Temple. Built with classical Vietnam architecture in the 18th century, this temple hosts the specimen of the legendary tortoise that once lived in Hoan Kiem Lake.

Get on your bike and mingle with the people on the streets of Hanoi Old Quarter, stopping by local stalls for the signature linen and handmade souvenirs. Dinner will be served at a renowned restaurant.

DAY 03: Overnight Cruise on the Emerald Water of Halong Bay

After breakfast, you will travel to Halong Bay by a private car. Arrive at the pier to embark your traditional junk. Enjoy a luxury lunch buffet as you cruise through numerous islets. Your cabin will be ready by the end of lunchtime for relaxation.
The majestic scenery of sunset peeking through thousands of limestone karsts is an exclusive backdrop for your family photos.

If your kids are fans of outdoor activities, step on the boat for a complimentary kayak trip. Imagine paddling on the emerald water and go through the naturally curved limestone gateways. You will experience the unique spectacle of Halong Bay.

Before dinner time, you will have the chance to participate in the cooking class to make Vietnamese nem, or fresh spring rolls. Then, if the night weather conditions are ideal, head to the deck and have a fun competition with your kids to see who will catch the most cuttlefish.

DAY 04: Discover the Hidden Treasures of Halong Bay

Before the sun comes up, you can join the Tai Chi course on deck to immerse yourself in the serene morning air and take in the picturesque dawn as it slowly unfolds. Your hearty breakfast is served with premium local seafood.

Optionally, you can go on a day trip to explore the hidden treasures of Halong Bay. Hike through the thrilling Surprise Cave and be astonished by stalactites with various shapes and sizes. Then, board your junk to head to Ti Top Island, where the observation deck is located on the mountain summit. You will have the chance to see the breathtaking nature in a panoramic view.

Take memorable photos of Halong Bay before returning to Hanoi. The capital welcomes you back with traditional lunch. Board your flight to Danang and transfer to your hotel to rest.

DAY 05: A Warm Family Time in the Magical Hoi An Ancient Town

This day is dedicated to Hoi An Ancient Town. Cycle with your family along Thu Bon River, the beating heart of town commercial trades, to visit Chua Cau, the 17th century legacy by the Japanese merchants. As the itinerary continues, you will be fascinated by the Chinese and Indian architecture around town.

Merge with the bustling streets to explore family shops hidden in lovely corners. The merchandise varies from fine arts, jewelry to tailored clothes. Settle down at the bamboo tables of the Lantern Making Class to design and create the symbolic lantern of Hoi An. Your kids will have a wonderful time bringing their imagination to life with the colorful materials.

You will have a special lunch at Tra Que Cooking Class. With the assistance of the friendly guide, you will get to hand-pick fresh ingredients at the local market. In the relaxing garden, have a warm family cooking time surrounded by fragrant spices and aroma. Gather around the table and savor a bowl of sweet and sour soup with fish fillets, crispy spring rolls or a sizzling clay pot of caramelized pork.

Return to Hoi An for your dinner at a renowned restaurant, surrounded by the magical streets light up by lanterns. Spend the night at your hotel.

DAY 06: Experience the Farmer’s Daily Life

You will travel to Cam Thanh Village Farming & Fishing in the countryside of Hoi An. Go cycling through the vast rice field to meet your local hosts.

Your kids will have an exciting time to experience a day in the farmer’s life. Get on a water buffalo ride through the rice fields and take memorable photos. Return to your bike and cycle to the bamboo handicraft village, before visiting the local historical sites. Bring out your inner craftsmanship as you learn to turn coconut leaves into souvenirs at the workshops.

At the coastal fishing village, put your fishing skills to the test with the friendly natives. In the coconut water forest, cast the net together with your kids to catch the natural crabs.

Return to the farmer’s home to cook your harvest of the day and enjoy a tasty meal. When the evening ends, give your hospitable hosts a warm farewell and travel back to your hotel in Hoi An.

DAY 07: Explore the French Architecture in Ho Chi Minh City

Travel back to Danang and depart for Ho Chi Minh City from Danang’s Airport. Be transferred to your hotel and relax after your flight with a cup of Saigon milk coffee.
Hidden in the vibrant city life are the famous attractions with architecture from the French era.

You will have the chance to go on an educational trip with your kids to the sacred aisle of the Notre Dame Cathedral, take exclusive photos under the dome of Saigon Post Office, visit the charming Ho Chi Minh City Hall dated back in 1975, and explore well-preserved artifacts that present the glorious history at the War Remnant Museum.

DAY 08: Ben Tre, the Land of the Coconut

From Ho Chi Minh City, you will take the private car to Mekong Delta, then embark your boat to Ben Tre. From the boat, you can see the lively residents in the village on the Mekong Delta.

Upon arrival in the Land of the Coconut, you will explore the local village by bike. Stop by the coconut workshop and learn about the process of making a coconut candy-the delicious treat that makes a great souvenir.

Along the village path, you will visit the art workshop and observe the skillful workers turn coconut leaves into souvenirs. Your kids will be amazed by the tale of The Coconut Monk (Ong Dao Dua), who is said to have only eaten coconut throughout his life. At the end of the trip, you will have lunch at the tropical garden by the riverside.

Be transferred back to Ho Chi Minh City for dinner. If your mind is still occupied by Southern Vietnam cultures, the must-see A O Show in Saigon Opera House will give you an insight into the cultural highlights.

DAY 09: Departing to Siem Reap

To experience the best of Southern Vietnam, you can go on a day trip to Cu Chi and explore the magnificent underground tunnels that run deep in 121 kilometers. Cu Chi Tunnels was used as the Vietnamese military base in the war against the US Army.
Travel to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Cambodia welcomes you with a warm dinner accompanied by the Apsara Dance Show. It is the traditional dance created by the Royal Ballet of Cambodia in the mid-20th century. After dinner, you will be transferred to your hotel.

DAY 10: The Wonders of Cambodia

The itinerary for today will take you on a family adventure to the temple garden complex of Angkor. Starts from Angkor Thom, your kids will be mesmerized by the mysterious face carvings on the ancient walls. Next, discover the historical events as you explore the high towers of Bayon Temples.

In Ta Prohm, wander in the poetic scenery of lush wild plants growing out of the ruins. It is the unique surrounding that makes this attraction a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1992. You will have a lunch break after this stop.

Your temple run adventure continues to Angkor Wat, the temple garden with glistening golden temple tops. Continue visiting Phnom Bakheng, or Bakheng Hill, in time for the astonishing sunset. Sit back and take in the marvelous view with your family.

DAY 11: Volunteer at the Local School by Tonle Sap Lake – Visit the Artisan D’Angkor

After the traditional breakfast, embark your boat trip to Tonle Sap Lake. Experience the morning atmosphere of the local life as you cruise through the pristine water. Participate together with your kids in teaching English at the local school, where you will meet the hospitable natives. You will have a lunch break after this stop.

Continue your itinerary to Artisan D’Angkor. It is the organization that aims to preserve traditional craftsmanship, and even demonstrate the best efforts to create jobs for artisans throughout the country. Your kids will have a chance to absorb knowledge about ancient crating techniques of Cambodia.

At the end of the trip, return to your hotel for a scrumptious dinner.

DAY 12: Farewell, Cambodia

Your family adventures through the lands of Vietnam and Cambodia has come to an end.
