DAY 1: Xin chao, Vietnam!

A warm welcome awaits you in Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport upon arrival. Your local guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel in downtown Hanoi. The guide will provide information regarding where you will be staying.

Check in at the hotel, then relax after your long flight, or mingle with the people and get acquaintance with the local streets. At night, enjoy your first dinner in Vietnam with scrumptious food at a renowned restaurant.

Additionally, if you’re curious about Northern Vietnam culture, grab tickets for spectacular traditional art shows: The Quintessence of Tonkin, My Village. You will have a great family time admiring the cultural stories told through an artistic vision by skillful performers.

DAY 2: The Charms of Hanoi

Hanoi Capital preserves the ancient charms of French and Chinese architectures and culture. Start your day the local way with a bowl of pho.

The Hanoi itinerary begins with visiting the Temple of Literature, which was built in the 1070 and hosts the Imperial Academy-the first national university of Vietnam. Enrich historical knowledge with your kids as you discover the temple garden and ancient statues.

Your educational trip continues to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where you will learn about Uncle Ho, the great leader who has brought independence to the country. You will have a lunch break after this stop.

In the evening, immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere as you stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple. The streets of Hanoi Old Quarter makes a great cycling tour. You will have the chance to go cycling and mingle in the local daily life, exploring traditional street vendors and artisans.

DAY 3: Wonderful time together kayaking in breathtaking Halong

From Hanoi, you will have a 3-hour ride to Halong Bay in a private car. After that, board your traditional junk and enjoy a fantastic lunch.Spend the evening on the sundeck to take memorable family photos as you cruise through the pristine water, with a spectacular view of thousands of limestone karsts, dotted with isles covered in lush green nature.

For a family adventure time, kayaking is a must-try activity in this UNESCO World Heritage site. Paddle your boat through the emerald water as the wonders of Halong Bay expose further to your amazement. The perfect time to go kayaking is at sunset. You will have exclusive breathtaking photo ops.

Before dinner time, you can join a cooking class to make Vietnamese nem-or fresh spring rolls. At night, if the weather conditions are ideal, take your kids out to the sundeck and put everyone’s fishing skills to the test. The thrill of catching fresh cuttlefish in the magical scenery is an experience you will never forget.

Day 4: Enjoy the relaxed time together in Halong

In the next morning, you may join the Tai Chi course in the refreshing atmosphere on the sundeck before breakfast. Optionally, you can continue exploring the magnificent nature of Halong Bay by visiting Sung Sot Cave or the charming Ti Top Island.

Continue cruising through the tall limestone karsts. After lunch, you will return to Hanoi for your flight to Danang.

Arrive in Danang; you will be transferred to Hue in a private car. Check in at your hotel; then take a break or explore the local streets until the evening. At dinner, experience the privileged life at the Hue Royal Dinner is served with traditional dishes.

Day 5: Welcome to the World Heritage Hue - Old capital

After breakfast, you will go on a day trip to explore Imperial Citadel, where the ancient royal resides. Enjoy your dragon boat trip with amazing photo ops to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, the iconic seven-story pagoda built in 1601 by the first Nguyen lord.

You will stop for lunch break, then continues to Minh Mang & Khai Dinh Tomb, the historical heritage of Hue royalties.

After the trip, end your day the local way by shopping for souvenirs at Dong Ba Market. With numerous local stalls in the market, grab your chance to go on a tasty food tour with your kids to try out signature Hue dishes: Bun bo Hue, Bun hen, Banh bot loc.

Day 6: Magical World at Hoi An

Travel to Marble Mountain through Hai Van Tunnel, the longest tunnel in Southeast Asia at 6.28 km. At Marble Mountain, your exciting family adventure continues with exploring numerous enchanting untouched caves. The Buddhist sanctuaries dotted along the paths are great for enjoying the calming mountain air.

Your next destination is Hoi An Ancient Town, where your children’s dreams of the magical world come true, with streets light up by countless colorful lanterns. Participate in the Lantern Making Class to practice crafting skills together with your kids. You can design and create your very own lanterns, which will remind of your wonderful time in this magical town.

Day 7: Experience a day as a farmer and fisher man

Enjoy your breakfast in Hoi An; then you will go cycling through the vast rice fields to reach the Cam Thach Village Farming & Fishing.

Get your farmer’s clothes ready and join the friendly natives to experience a day in their daily life. Your kids will enjoy an exciting water buffalo ride on the rice paddies, surrounded by the fresh scent of earth and homegrown plants. Then, experience traditional fishing in the coastal village and have a competition with your kids to see who will catch the largest fish.

The competition gets a higher level as you try catching crabs in the water coconut forest. This is the perfect opportunity for your children to have fun while getting an insight into the traditional farmer’s life.

With your catch of the day, return to the farmer’s home to cook and enjoy a hearty meal in a hospitable atmosphere. When the evening ends, give your hosts a warm farewell and travel back to your hotel in Hoi An.

Day 8: Head to the Bustling Ho Chi Minh

Board your flight to Ho Chi Minh City from Danang. After the flight, you can relax at your hotel with the unforgettable Saigon milk coffee.

In the evening, the local guide will take you to famous attractions dated back to the French era. Get ready to be amazed by the sanctuary grounds of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the timeless Saigon Post Office, Ho Chi Minh City Hall, and the War Remnant Museum, where artifacts are well-preserved and displayed.

Day 9: An Adventure in Cu Chi Tunnels

On this day, you will go on an urban adventure in Cu Chi Tunnels, the underground network built by the Vietnamese in 1986, with incredible structures that can even fit furniture. Go through the thrilling small tunnels with your kids and relive the historical events of the military.

You will have lunch in Cu Chi, then return to Ho Chi Minh City. You can spend the evening on a delicious Street Food Tour, or trying out amazing recipes in Saigon Cooking Class for warm family time. Day 10: The Land of Coconut – Mekong Home

On your 10th day, you will leave Ho Chi Minh City and take a boat trip to Ben Tre, the land of coconut. After lunch, the private car will take you to a charming village, surrounded by endless coconut palm trees.

Settle down in Mekong Home; the familial house settles in a tropical garden on the Mekong river bank. Then take a break before meeting your hosts to explore the local fishing. You will return to Mekong Home after the trip.

Before dinner time, you will have a family cooking time to make Banh xeo, the crispy Vietnamese rice milk pancake. With the Banh xeo you have just cooked together, feast on the fresh dishes at dinner with the local vegetables, and traditional flavored dishes such as caramelized pork, fish soup, young coconut, and shrimp salad, and spring rolls.

End your day with a soothing lemongrass and ginger foot bath, a local therapeutic method to relieve the pain and fatigue of the legs.

Day 11: Learn more about the local agricultural activities

You will wake up to the calming atmosphere and a hearty breakfast. Then, go cycling under the cooling shades of fruit trees and coconut trees along the sides of the road. Fresh vegetables, meat, fruits are displayed on the street vendors, creating a colorful picture of the local life.

At the workshop of baskets made of coconut stems and a coconut processing operation, meet the owners to learn about the techniques. Your kids will be amazed by how the skillful workers steadily make the coconut stems into handy baskets.
Continue your cycling trip to board a ferry to reach the island of Oc. You will pass by small huts surrounded by lush nature while seeing the daily life of the inhabitants of Mekong Delta.

To learn more about the local agricultural activities, you will stop at a fish farm, surrounded by ponds, and absorb knowledge about two species of catfish: Ca Tra and Ca Ba Sa. These catfish are the two main species of fish production in Vietnam.

Your cycling trip continues to take you back to Mekong Home. Take memorable photos with your hosts before leaving for Ho Chi Minh City by car. You will check in at your hotel and have dinner after an adventurous day.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City Departure

On your last day in Vietnam, take time to relax, shop for handmade souvenirs, especially the linens, or stroll the local streets. Maybe you can enjoy Vietnamese milk coffee before traveling to the airport. Bring home your cherished memories of the local people, the magnificent nature and unforgettable culture. Vietnam will surely see you again soon!
