Itinerary

DAY 1: A Welcoming First Night in Hanoi

Arrive at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, where your local guide and driver await to escort you to the hotel. After the check-in procedure, you can relax in your room or mingle with the lively streets and get a cup of Vietnamese coffee.

Get ready to savor the scrumptious local dishes at your warm, welcoming dinner.

DAY 2: An Orientation Walk around the Charms of Hanoi

You will wake up to a steamy bowl of pho. The itinerary for this day will guide you through the historic attractions in this charming capital city.

The romantic West Lake is perfect for refreshing your mind in the early morning, followed by Tran Quoc Pagoda-the oldest Buddhism pagoda in Hanoi. Visit the Temple of Literature and discover the ancient scholars and sages. You will have a lunch break after this stop.

Your excursion continues to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where you will learn about the great leader of Vietnam.

Your next destination is Hoan Kiem Lake. This lake’s name was originated from folklore that will surely amaze you. Stroll around the lake to reach Ngoc Son Temple. The temple now currently hosts the well-preserved specimen of the legendary turtle that once lived in the lake.

Get on the cyclo accompanied by a skillful driver and see all 36 streets of Hanoi Old Quarter from a whole new scope. The excursion will end with dinner at a renowned restaurant.

Wrap up your day at the capital city and board the overnight train to Lao Cai from Hanoi Railway Station.

DAY 3: The Quiet Valley Villages in Sapa

From Lao Cai, hop on the private car to transfer to Sapa, passing by the lush forest along the way. The hotel awaits you with a delicious breakfast. Pack lightly with your essential equipment and begin hiking to Lao Chai village.

You will have the chance to take exclusive photos of the hard-working farmers on the vast rice fields in the early morning. A cozy lunch made by the hospitable locals will fulfill to your heart’s content.

Get back on the mountain path and continue hiking to Ta Van, the peaceful village hidden in the valley. You can find the local special embroidery in unique textile with a surprisingly low price. Then, get a glimpse into the ethnic minorities culture at the Stone Church, located at the heart of Sapa.

Return to your hotel to spend the night. Fire up the coal for a hot BBQ dinner filled with the fresh local ingredients.

DAY 4: Discover the Legendary Fansipan

Today, you will stop by the Mgallery Hotel. It is the sophisticated lodge presenting the fusion of Sapa culture and French history. Board the train at Muong Hoa Train Station and travel through the fog to reach Fansipan Cable Station.

Brace yourself to marvel at the spectacular view of the Fansipan from your cable car. Imagine you’re floating in the middle of the magical mountain, and time almost stop as you observe the jungle and the mountain path, dotted with tiny village houses.

Your driver will be at service to pick you up and head to the rest stop for refreshment. The Express Limousine Car will then take you to the hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 5: Cruise through the Magnificent Halong Bay

Embark your traditional junk and enjoy a scrumptious lunch buffet as you cruise through the pristine water of Halong Bay, with limestone karsts and island in the background. You can relax in the private cabin until the afternoon ends.

Kayaking is the must-try complimentary activity in Halong Bay. Experience the excitement of flowing along the sparkling water to witness the enormous limestone towers.

Before dinner time, you will have the option to put your cooking skills to the test at the course to make Vietnamese nem. At night, if the weather conditions are ideal, you can try the thrilling cuttlefish fishing on the deck.

DAY 6: The Breathtaking Dawn in Halong Bay – Return to Hanoi

Wake up to the soothing sound of crashing waves. A Tai Chi course on deck would be perfect for you to inhale the refreshing morning air and watch the sunrise at the marvelous skyline.

If you’d like to explore Halong Bay further, the cruise can stop by the Surprising Cave for trekking to see the glistening stalactites or the Ti Top Island for sightseeing.
Disembark the junk, and you will be transferred back to the hotel in Hanoi. The whole evening in the capital city is up to you. It’s your chance to try out the local street food for dinner.

DAY 7: Paradise Getaway in Mai Chau

Your journey to the rural areas of Northern Vietnam continues to Mai Chau, the village located away from urban life. Don’t miss your rare photo ops of the tiny Thai style stilt house. Lunch will be served with local delicacy.

Cycle to Ban Lac and let the cooling breeze awake your every sense as you follow the untouched mountain path. Ban Lac is well-known for lovely souvenirs, homestays with traditional straw mats that allow visitors to get the full local experience. At night, feast on your dinner made by the natives.

DAY 8: Explore the Untamed Nature in Pu Luong

The local guide will escort you in visiting the Pu Luong Nature Reserve and provide interesting facts about life in the rural area.

Contradict to Mai Chau village that is crowded with tourists all year round, Pu Luong is the quiet mountain retreat that preserves the magnificent nature.

The two distinctive features in Pu Luong are the rice fields and the bamboo water wheels. You can see many of these wheels working in harmony with the crystal clear stream.

You will head back to the hotel for lunch. Arrange the evening itinerary to your references.

DAY 9: A Day Off in Hanoi

The morning in Pu Luong greets you with the mix of the chirping sound of the wild and the calming rustling leaves. Relish your local breakfast and travel back to Hanoi by car.
The schedule for your evening in Hanoi is completely up to you. You can mingle with the lively streets to shop for artisan or try the unique egg coffee at the cozy shop. Banh Cuon, bun cha are only two of the many delicious street foods waiting for your adventure filled with aroma.

DAY 10: See You Again, Vietnam!
