DAY 1: Xin chao, Vietnam!

Your local guide and driver will greet you with a warm welcome in Noi Bai Airport upon arrival. You will be transferred to the hotel downtown. The friendly guide will provide information regarding where you will be staying.

Check in at the hotel, then relax after your long flight, or mingle with the people and explore the local shops with your kids. At night, enjoy your first dinner in Vietnam with scrumptious food at a renowned restaurant.

DAY 2: The Nostalgic Excursion in Hanoi

Hanoi Capital preserves the French and Chinese architectures and culture through time, making this the perfect destination for an educational trip with your family.

Start your day the local way with a bowl of pho and begin your Hanoi excursion with visiting the Temple of Literature. This marvelous temple garden was built in the 1070s and hosts the Imperial Academy-the first national university of Vietnam.

Continues to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where your kids will have the chance to enrich historical knowledge about Uncle Ho, the great leader who has brought independence to the country. Discover well-preserved artifacts about the diverse ethnicity of Vietnam at the Ethnology Museum.

You will stop for refreshments in the afternoon. Afterward, you will have a warm family cooking time at Hanoi Cooking Class, to make your very own traditional meal together.

The streets of Hanoi Old Quarter are ideal for a cyclo ride. Hop on the remarkable cyclo and have a nostalgic ride through the 36 streets and explore traditional street vendors and artisan.

DAY 3: Cruise the Mesmerizing Halong Bay

From Hanoi, you will travel to Halong Bay in an air-conditioned car. After that, board your traditional junk, where the crew welcomes you with a scrumptious lunch buffet.
You can take memorable family photos on the sundeck with the backdrop of thousands of limestone karsts, dotted with isles covered in lush green nature.

If you’d prefer exciting family activities, kayaking is a must-try activity, especially when it is sunset. Paddle your boat through the emerald water and unveil the amazing wonders of this proud UNESCO Heritage Site. You will have exclusive breathtaking photo ops from the boat.

Before dinner time, you can join a cooking course to make Vietnamese nem, another delicious recipe for your family meal. At night, if the weather conditions are ideal, you can have a fun fishing competition with your kids on deck. The thrill of catching fresh cuttlefish in the magical scenery is an experience you will never forget.

DAY 4: The Northern Cultural Highlights

A Tai Chi course is offered in the refreshing morning air on the sundeck before breakfast. Optionally, you can continue exploring the magnificent nature of Halong Bay by visiting Sung Sot Cave or the charming Ti Top Island.

Continue cruising through the tall limestone karsts. After lunch, you will return to Hanoi. Check in at the hotel and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

If the Northern Vietnam culture still occupied your mind, grab your tickets for spectacular traditional art shows: The Quintessence of Tonkin, or My Village. You will have a great family time admiring the cultural stories told through an artistic vision by skillful performers.

DAY 5: Marble Mountain – Hoi An Ancient Town

After breakfast, you will board the flight to Danang. Then, you will travel to Marble Mountain through the Hai Van Tunnel, the longest tunnel in Southeast Asia at 6.28 km.

At Marble Mountain, explore the untamed nature of the enchanting caves that run deep in the mountain, and calming Buddhist pagodas nestle along the path.
The next destination for your family adventure is Hoi An Ancient Town. You will discover the local delights and architecture on foot.

This town is where your children’s fairy tale come to life. Colorful lanterns are everywhere, covering the street corners. The lanterns are believed to bring happiness to the owner’s home.

You can design and create these lanterns with your kids at the Lantern Making Class. Get your materials ready and have a fun crafting time.

DAY 6: The Poetic Hoi An Countryside

Enjoy your fulfilling breakfast in Hoi An; then you will go cycling in the midst of the rustling rice fields to reach the Cam Thach Village Farming & Fishing.
Get ready to join the friendly natives to experience a day in the farmer’s life. Your kids will see the serene countryside with vast rice paddies extending like a carpet from the water buffalo’s back.

At the coastal village, with the help of the skillful fishermen, test your traditional fishing techniques together. That’s not all the family fun. In the water coconut forest, try catching crabs as your basket boat drifts downstream.

Hoi An countryside is the perfect destination for your children to have a wonderful time while getting an insight into the traditional farmer’s life.

With your catch of the day, return to the farmer’s home to cook and enjoy a hearty meal in a hospitable atmosphere. Bid your hosts a warm farewell and travel back to your hotel in Hoi An in time for dinner.

DAY 7: The Fusion of History and Modern Life in Ho Chi Minh City

The morning flight in Danang will take you to Ho Chi Minh City. Relax at your hotel with the refreshing Saigon milk coffee.

In the evening, the local guide will take your family to the French remaining architecture hidden in modern city life.

Your kids will be amazed by the sanctuary grounds of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the timeless Saigon Post Office and Ho Chi Minh City Hall. Walk among the ancient artifacts at the War Remnant Museum to travel back in time and learn about the glorious history of Vietnam.

DAY 8: Exotic Ben Tre Hideaway

On this day, you will leave Ho Chi Minh City for the Mekong Delta Pier. Take the rare photos of nature along the way as your sampan head for Ben Tre, the Land of Coconut. After lunch, the private car will take you to a charming village, with the path covered by lush coconut palm trees.

Arrive in Mekong Home, the special lodging for your family with the structure based on the familial house, nestled on a tropical garden on the Mekong river bank. Pack only the essentials and meet your friendly hosts for a tour of the local fishing. You will return to Mekong Home after the trip.

Dinner in Ben Tre will be special. You will make banh xeo, the crispy Vietnamese rice milk pancake, together with your family. Enjoy the sizzling sound of the pancake mix and the unforgettable aroma.

With the “Banh Xeo”, you have just cooked together, feast on the tasty dishes at dinner catered from the local vegetables, and traditional flavored dishes such as caramelized pork, fish soup, young coconut, and shrimp salad, spring rolls.

To end your day the right way, rejuvenate with a soothing lemongrass and ginger foot bath, a local therapeutic method to relieve the pain and fatigue of the legs.

DAY 9: The Essence of Mekong Delta Village

You will wake up to a hearty breakfast and complimentary coconut juice. Then, pedal alongside your children on the dirt road, sheltered by the cooling shades of fruit trees and coconut trees on both sides of the road.

The cycling tour will pass by colorful street vendors that display fresh vegetables next to the meat and homegrown tropical fruits.

You will take a short pause at the workshop of baskets made of coconut stems and a coconut processing operation, to meet the owners and learn about the traditional techniques. Your kids will be amazed by how the coconut stems are transformed into handy baskets.

Continue your cycling trip to board a ferry to reach the island of Oc. You will pass by rows of stilt house on the bright sun backdrop, surrounded by rich nature. This is also ideal for your kids to get a glimpse of the village life by the Mekong Delta.

The main local products of the village come from agriculture and artisans. You will stop at a fish farm to learn more about the local agriculture. The host will escort you in exploring the two species of catfish: ca tra and ca ba sa. These catfish are the two main species of fish production in Vietnam.

Cycle back to Mekong Home. Don’t forget to take cherished photos with your hosts before leaving for Ho Chi Minh City by car. You will check in at your hotel and have dinner after an adventurous day.

DAY 10: Farewell, Vietnam!

On your last day in Vietnam, take time to relax or shop for handmade souvenirs. The iconic conical hats and vibrant linens are perfect to take home for your kids. Or maybe you just stroll the streets before traveling to the airport.
