Pick up at your hotel (08:00) or the Opera House. To enjoy the fresh atmosphere in the morning, you will visit West Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Hanoi. Immerse in the gorgeous beauty as well as the sheer size of the lake as it spans through more than 15 kilometres around the city. Circling this lake, there are various kinds of luxury restaurants, small food vendor and uncountable amounts of friendly hawkers.

Interestingly, like a magic stroke of the freestyle drawing brush, Tran Quoc Pagoda appears at the centre of this magnificent picture, thus adding more values to the whole scenery. Set up your camera and prepare to capture the perfect harmony of both the Tran Quoc Pagoda and the West Lake in the background.

Resume visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the commemorate marble monument that reminds the Vietnamese people why they can live in peace and independence today. Get the unique chance to view Uncle Ho in his final resting place and learn about the history and the life of the greatest father who has led the country out of the colonised era, into a completely independent sovereign.

After lunch, visit the Temple of Literature, the very first university of Vietnam that has been teaching countless generations of the Vietnam people about literature, poem, philosophy, and ethical values of life. Be amazed by the traditional interior architecture as this university has been well preserved since it first opened its gate in 1070.

Continue to Hoa Lo Prison, a historical museum that displays all the atrocious crimes during previous war times in Vietnam. If you are the person who enjoys listening to historical stories, you will love to know the early life of the former prisoner John McCain at Hoa Lo Prison. McCain, later on, became the US Senator and ran a lengthy campaign for US Presidency against Obama in 2008.

Head back on to Hoang Thanh Citadel, the beautiful sites of both cultural condense and the ultimate military fortress of Vietnam in the course of a thousand year. In the relics of the citadel reveals the story of the brave Vietnamese people in the struggling fight against invasive foreigners.
